Improve Your Digestive Health with Probiotic Foods

It’s easy sometimes to get so caught up with the word “diet” (a word I’ve come to despise but is impossible to avoid), and in the course of things become so obsessed with what we can‘t eat, that we forget to pay attention to the foods we should eat. Probiotic foods are a must whether you’re trying to lose weight, maintain weight, or like me, just gain a healthy lifestyle. Two servings a day are enough to keep your digestive tract on the right, er, track. Try this:

Vanilla Yogurt with Agave & Ginger:

1 cup plain yogurt (I like Stonyfield Farms’ Organic whole milk yogurt for its creamy consistency)

1/2 tsp vanilla bean paste or 1 tsp pure vanilla extract (none of that imitation stuff!)

Agave nectar to taste (about 1 1/2 tbsp.)

1/2 tsp Fresh grated ginger

Combine in bowl and add an orange on the side for a healthy mid-morning snack or light-but-protein-rich breakfast.
